Why are Logitech webcams so bad?

That's what happens when there's no competition, Logitech continues to make terrible quality products and people buy them. The StreamCam is an extra bad thing, the color quality is incredibly poor even in fantastic lighting conditions. The picture is noisy and the entire road is sharp. Save your money, it's not worth it.

Too bad would only buy if it was 40-50

Not much to say from what others have posted. Terrible picture quality for 2020 and basically not worth $160. One of the worst things about this webcam is that the USB-C cable is ALWAYS plugged into the back of the camera. It's a horrible idea and SUPER annoying to carry a camera with you.

Does what is expected, more than exceeds my streaming needs

Works very well! Super strong part. I actually bought it from the Best Buy store as the Best Buy version comes with a tripod mount. This one on Amazon doesn't have it. For streaming, I wish Logicapture didn't use as much CPU. Or whether they created functions in the G HUB app. You can use the Logicapture app as a video source in OBS; However, the CPU usage is outrageous. The camera works well on my MacBook and with Zoom meetings, much better lighting and clarity

Fairly expensive camera that doesn't have many adjustable features or an adjustable zoom from wide to narrow. But in my case it works fine at home for Zoom/WebEx/Google Meet meetings. Works well after installing the Logi Capture program.

I was concerned at first, it seemed as good as my laptop's built in camera. I then downloaded the Logitech Capture software and was able to power on and set up the HD. It gives you a link to it in the instructions but never says you need to download it to get full functionality. The program also updated my firmware. Surprising lack of clarity; much less detailed than the iPhone 10. Camera

When I suddenly had to teach all my courses online, I was lucky enough to get hold of one of Revain's latest available webcams, which is Logitech. It replaced one that was almost 10 years old and produced horribly grainy video. I am a professional content creator and I typically use professional cameras that cost thousands of dollars to get the best picture quality in room lighting, which is not ideal for video recording. Webcams are great when you have excellent overall lighting.
