Recently my famous brand dryer, more than twice the price, broke after a few years of use. I'm on a tight budget right now, so I decided to take a chance and try a mid-range dryer to replace it. I immediately noticed the weight of this dryer and the noise; Although smaller than my signature, it's both heavier and louder. Neither is a big issue for me as I have short (but thick) hair and don't usually have to spend a lot of time drying it. The only other nasty thing is that the Cool Blast button is very easy to accidentally press, requiring you to be careful and sometimes awkward to hold the grip. But that's where all the cons I can think of end. The list of pluses includes: two speeds (standard, I think); three temperature settings (I really like it, although I think I'll keep it at a "high" level almost all the time); fast drying with minimal frizz (perhaps exceptional compared to cheaper dryers, but no better or worse than my signature hair dryer); The barrel stays cool even after prolonged high power/high heat treatment. Overall I think this dryer is great for the price. The only improvements I would suggest would be to make it lighter and quieter.
