My PC had an old Wi-Fi card from 2012. As I moved things around the apartment, the router and computer ended up in different ones rooms and at opposite ends of the dwelling, as far apart as possible. For some reason the internet worked fine at first, but it kept disappearing and after about a month it was almost unconnected. After troubleshooting I looked for a new card with a separate antenna unit and decided to give it a try. It was easy to install and worked great right away. It's been almost a month and no problems so far. Very happy with it.
