This was my second attempt to get a kettle (red) like my daughter's. She's amazing, so it was hard to imagine that she was in the same league. I have done with it. It's less tall, a little wider, not as strong as hers BUT it's half the price. For less than $20 you get a great kettle AND WHAT'S AWESOME is that it comes in multiple colors to match any kitchen decor. PS I love how the kettle lights up when the water heats up, even my daughter's fancy kettle doesn't do that lol. TO UPDATE. Okay, I've had time to take a closer look. That's fine EXCEPT I hate the LARGE INDUSTRIAL power cord. Looks terrible on my kitchen cabinet. For that reason alone I may have to send it back (well, it takes about 4-5 minutes to heat 1 liter of water, e.g. my daughter's, that's the second reason).
