I have ridden in high 30F and low 40F temperatures several times with these gloves. Although I could probably wear a size larger, I bought XLG on purpose so my arms wouldn't get too tight. I survived two downpours in Portland, Oregon, not exactly heavy rain but enough to get you pretty wet at around 40F. My hands stayed warm and dry. Yes, after 4 hours my little fingers got a little cold as expected. Cannot meet your needs for long rides in sub-zero temperatures. I had no trouble braking or shifting on the 22-speed suspension. Not recommended for touchscreen. The glove is too bulky for that. Points were not removed. Winter gloves and touchscreens should not be used together and keep hands warm for a long period of time. I haven't washed the gloves yet but they will probably take a little longer to dry inside. Maybe drying inside out would help. I'm seriously considering buying a second pair to give myself some extra washing time. These are great gloves at a reasonable price.
