I purchased Eco Tech 00876 Fiber-Lok Non-Slip Pad (16 ounces) for an indoor/outdoor rug that kept slipping on a tiled floor. I felt there were only 2 ways to keep the rug from slipping - this product or the rug mat. As my rug is a very low pile indoor/outdoor rug I didn't want to add any height, especially as he just finished cleaning the next door and my experience with latex rugs is that they don't work. The directions on the tin recommend applying 2 light coats and allowing the product to dry between coats. I applied Fiber-Loc with a disposable brush, wrapping the brush in plastic wrap between coats so the same brush can be used over and over again. The product is easy to use and does not smell. After applying two coats and letting it dry well, I put the rug back on the floor, but it still didn't hold in place. When I bought another shaving brush, I reapplied Fiber-Loc, this time in two very thick coats, letting it dry between coats. SUCCESS. I should note that I only applied the product to the ends as you can see in the photos and mainly focused on the corners. I should also mention that I have two large dogs that constantly walk on this rug throughout the day. I have some product left over, maybe enough to make a small rug. Overall I would recommend this product although I did need more layers than recommended.
