Review on Corsair LL140 RGB Dual Light Loop 140mm PWM Fan 2-Pack with Lighting Node Pro by Zac Pewitt

Big fans, Corsair needs better written instructions.

update 2: I noticed that a lot of people write reviews about these fans and say they don't work well for heatsinks. These fans are airflow rather than static pressure, of course they will perform poorly as cooling fans. If you need static pressure, go for the Corsair SP120 or get the ML120. Or any 120mm fan that can spin at 3000+ RPM with good static pressure. Don't install air-flow fans on heatsinks and then complain about poor cooling. Update: I forgot to mention that the supplied screws for attaching the fans to the front of the Corsair Graphite 780t are completely useless. You must either reuse the screws from 140mm fans or buy new ones separately. Great fans, if a little pricey, but this is a lighting kit so of course it costs more. The instructions that came with it were only partially helpful. It tells you how to connect the Lighting Node Pro to an LED fan controller, but nothing more. I ended up turning the fans off so they wouldn't spin, but left the wire connected to the lights so I could orient and install them where the "pong" setting was correct. After that I reconnected the fan power cables. In case you're wondering, on the Corsair Graphite 780t the bottom front fan should be #1 and the top front fan should be #2. Oh, and just so you know; does not contain the latest BIOS for Lighting Node Pro. You MUST update the BIOS with Corsair Link 4 before the fans will be recognized properly. Otherwise you will get strange lighting. In terms of performance, the fans pull in more air than those that come with the Corsair Graphite 780t. move, but that's because LEDs have a flicker delay that the human eye can't normally see. However, monochromatic modes look good on camera. Keep that in mind as you take photos of this to show off to your Facebook friends.
