These inserts should only be purchased if you have a die head (or other tool) that accepts inserts with no radius on the cutting edge. This means that these inserts are NOT compatible with Shelix cutterheads, even though the product information says so. ALL Shelix cutting heads use inserts with a 100mm cutting edge radius and this radius is required for the cutting head to function properly. Using inserts without a radius will not give the desired results. As a side note, the overall dimensions of these inserts are the same as the Shelix inserts (15mm x 2.5mm) so they can appear superficial. looks like it, but don't be fooled. The radius of the cutting edge is just as important as the dimensions, and they definitely don't fit into that category.
