Retractable straps are the ONLY straps we will be using. The straps do not tangle, the ends do not dangle in the wind when driving on the road. The retractor is a simple button so it slides out easily and when it's time to latch, pressing the button retracts the excess just enough to pull the load in. We use them to haul a cart, a mower, sheets of plywood, and the occasional quick fix of something that needs reassembling. I will never go back to fixed seat belts. All of ours have been replaced with these straps.
