I have ordered two RoboTwist can openers, one for my mother-in-law and one for me. When they arrived, the packaging of both items was found to have been previously opened. But I insisted and put the batteries in first. RoboTwist turned on (as it should), the jaws moved to the tightest position. However, it never returned to the open position as intended and the motor only hummed for a few minutes before I decided to discard the unit. In other words, every time the batteries were put in it would turn on and stay on and never return to the open (jaws wide) position, rendering it unusable. open and sealed packaging. DO NOT BUY from this seller. It looks like they are pawning their faulty products to consumers in hopes they won't be returned, leaving the consumer without money, not the seller.
