Review on πŸ”© 250 Stainless Steel Pocket Screws for SML C250S5 Projects by Gabriel Rosenberg

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Stainless steel, good grip, 20% polished, it is recommended to pre-drill pocket holes.

I needed stainless steel screws for use with pressure treated wood. Advantages: Good fixation of the head. you have to press so hard. Plastic box for Kreg screws is reusable. Cons: Square drive is better, but still easier to disassemble than expected. Stainless steel is more expensive. The Kreg screw box cracked so I won't be using it again. The holes in the screw heads are ground before they are inserted (planted) into the blind holes. Then the next pair of screws worked, another one had snapped off. 5 out of 25 used ones are dismantled, that's 20%. After the first 2 were deburred I checked my hole sizes which were fine but I tried drilling larger holes but the heads were still deburred. These are only 2 PT Douglas fir, so they should work just fine. I ended up pre-drilling the remaining holes to waste those expensive screws.
