Works well. Seems accurate

It was easy to set up and run. All I had to do was open the battery compartment, connect the included 9V battery and pull the trigger. It was set to show temperature in Celsius, but there was an easy fix - thanks to clear instructions - to switch it to F. After that I pointed it at a few things to see what it would record. The ice in the fridge was just under 32 degrees, as expected. The ghee pan was 180. I keep my house thermostat at 68, and if I point it at an interior wall on a snowy day, it read 67. Not bad. There are a lot of other functions/buttons that I haven't come across yet. but since it's doing what I need for now, I'll get to that later. I like that when you release the trigger, it freezes the meter and turns off after a while. I feel this gives a good workout in the kitchen, outdoors at a BBQ, and maybe even other activities like looking for leaks on windows and doors or hot spots on mechanical items.
