Smashed and threw my new Warn VR8 30 feet in the dirt.
The cradle moves out of the receiving part. The winch is just an 8000lb VR8 winch. The tree I was pulled up to was right behind the truck, about 80 feet away. This bracket has come loose from a piece that is going into the receiver on the vehicle, snapping the positive and negative wires from the winch. I will update the photo tomorrow. Before landing, the winch flew 20 to 30 feet through the air. Failure of this component could be fatal. Don `t save. Use the Warn carry case. Or be a $530 winch like me.
