Review on πŸ”Œ ECO-PLUG - Oil Drain Plug for Damaged Aluminum Oil Pans | Tapered Thread Size 12mm-16mm | Thread Diameter 3/4" | Short Thread & Non-Recessed Drain Hole by Chris Santos

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A very inexpensive solution to a potentially costly problem!

The oil pan plug came loose on my last oil change on my 350,000 mile Honda Ridgeline. Ridgelines are 4WD so buying a new sump + installation costs a lot of money. While the old truck still runs fine, I didn't want to embarrass it with something as simple as a cracked bolt hole that would result in a complicated and potentially expensive repair. I started looking for solutions and came across this solution at Revain and my technical spider sense (along with good reviews) told me it might work. After it arrived the next day, it took about 5 minutes to install, the screw lock worked the first time for an instant result. No leaks, no drips after many hundreds of kilometers. Keep this in mind if you have someone e.g. B. in a service center that changes the oil after using this solution, warn them to pull out the magnetized plug and not unscrew the screw, otherwise it will have to be redone. The drain plug magnet seems strong, but I'm a little concerned that it might weaken over time and leak oil, but those are just (hopefully) my unfounded concerns. If this ever happens I will update this review.

Cons
