I bought these based on the price and the coupon that said they are biodegradable and cordless as stated on the front of the box. Wire is not allowed when released because wherever they fall the wire is left behind and is considered trash. I think they would be great but with wire it was a deal breaker for me. Another problem, but not a big problem, is that you had to attach the lighting disc through this cable. I wish it would work
