I don't use straws at home, but I love them in restaurants. A few weeks ago I went to a restaurant that uses stainless steel straws and loved the idea so I bought this set to carry around in my purse when needed. They work great and don't get soggy like paper straws and don't claim to be compatible like other new plant based plastic straws claim. In addition, they are very easy to clean. What I didn't know was that they could be conversation starters! We bought them from a local lunchtime cafe that had stopped supplying straws for the past few months and the servers were impressed. Several waiters stopped by to check on them after the person filling the water glasses asked for them. The family at the next table stopped to ask for them as they left.
