Works great with gel pens

I bought this sketchbook to use with my new gel pens for an art project. I really love how the vibrant colors show up on the black paper and look forward to creating new works of art with this sketchbook. It doesn't shine through at all, although I've only tried gel pens on paper. In general the paper is of good quality, quite thick.
