This thing is very sticky. Sticks easily to my couch with a smooth linen texture unlike other products. I see him taking the "plush" off the sofa with a less smooth texture. I applied mine very carefully, not too hard and not even pressing in all places so as not to create too much tension when later peeling it off. I used the smaller panels on the corners and then cut the larger panels into strips - again trying to limit the space with the glue on it for the best result when removing. I "checked" it at one point before applying. I strongly recommend testing it before use. Cut out a 2 inch square. Place it where you don't see it. Press gently. Leave for 5 minutes and then remove. look what happens .Regarding the "does it work" question: So far, cats haven't even come close to these parts of the couch in the past 24 hours. (I don't smell anything) or if they feel sticky but I don't think they even touched it. I can leave it on for a few weeks and then gradually take it off. By now we have scrapers lying around that one of them likes to use. the other is studying. I'll report and edit this if anything changes.
