First repair. Bought this and Loctite 37613 for two different cars to see how well these products work on windshield repairs. Because this product is advertised as more versatile and can be used multiple times, it can even be used to fill long cracks. I decided to use this on a car that had 4 different brakes. The main crack in the windshield was a 1/2 to 3/4 inch diameter porthole. Three long (10 to 18 inches) cracks emanated from it. In addition, there were three other small broken sprockets < 3/8 inch. The product was able to fill a large bulging tear 85% after two attempts ie Repeat steps 4/5 in the instructions. Crack Fill is recommended for cracks less than 12" in length - we've increased this limit. Filling long cracks is an art, not a science. I applied glue along the tear line and used a golf tee to press outward on each side of the tear to aid in capillary fill. He also pressed the windshield from the inside along the crack. There's a lot of work to do, but it's more than 75% done. When using the product, it is difficult to distinguish between filled and unfilled sections of a long crack. After completing this process. I pasted a small amount of glue into the hole and covered the bulge with the attached plastic sheets. I also filled in the long cracks with all the leaves. They were left to dry in the sun for 35 minutes. Then it was time to get to work, because the next step is to scrape the hardened adhesive off the windshield. (Use less glue under the smooth plastic panels next time) Just to tear to the black would be easy. Get the best results according to the instructions. And 60% filled long cracks - don't expect more unless this repair is your day job. NOTE: It is not always easy to tell if cracks have been filled during the repair process. The high intensity LED flashlight looks pretty good in the car. After completing 3 extra stars at 90% or better I am very happy with this product. I would buy it again. FYI this product is modeled after the Novus windshield repair system which has always delivered a good product. The patents have long since expired.
