Great product I would recommend to anyone with small cracks and chips.

My windshield was hit by a rock at 85 mph. A small chip remained, which eventually turned into a crack extending about half an inch on either side of the chip. That meant I had a small tear (about 1 inch long) and a small chip to boot. I read the reviews on this product and was afraid I would either screw it up or it wouldn't be perfect. I honestly couldn't. I didn't ask for better results. The rift is now invisible unless you REALLY try to find it and the chip is completely gone. I did as the…

Be realistic and you will be satisfied.

Product works great! However, it is important that you set reasonable expectations. If you think nothing happened to your windshield, you may be disappointed. The aim is to prevent the spread of damage and improve the optical appearance of the glass. From the outside of my windshield all you can see is splinters where the stone hit. From the inside (pictured) all you can see is that there was a crack if you look for it. I can best describe this product as a touch up paint. The repair looks like

Be careful with WAXED windows

I've used this kit a few times and it works well. Important NOTE. If you are waxing your window (e.g. RainX), you must remove the "wax" from the area around the chip to be repaired before proceeding with the repair. The "wax" somehow prevents or drastically slows the "drying out" of the crack-fill fluid when it hardens in the sun. Dries really long. Crack filling itself may be fine. Use acetone on a paper towel to remove wax. In my case I put some masking tape on the chip (no tape, it can…

I did everything wrong but the window came out RIGHT!

When I was a kid, I remember a crack in the windshield of my parents' minivan that got longer and longer until it covered the entire window. When a pebble hit my windshield and shattered it, I immediately got to work! Out of the many products I researched, I chose this one because it offered the best value for money. It costs at least 1/5 the price at the dealership, requires no special tools, and works great. I followed 75% of the instructions wrong, but the crack is GONE. I RECOMMEND this…

First repair. Bought this and Loctite 37613 for two different cars to see how well these products work on windshield repairs. Because this product is advertised as more versatile and can be used multiple times, it can even be used to fill long cracks. I decided to use this on a car that had 4 different brakes. The main crack in the windshield was a 1/2 to 3/4 inch diameter porthole. Three long (10 to 18 inches) cracks emanated from it. In addition, there were three other small broken sprockets…
