I used these in a pair of heeled boots that I love to wear but that cause the balls of my feet to hurt after standing or walking for a while. These provide a nice cushion. They do have the little spiky silicone pieces that I think are meant to have a massaging feeling; I like that but someone who is more sensitive to textures might not. The feeling is similar to but less intense than those adidas sandals/slides with the little nubs in the footbed.I just place these in my boots and they for the most part stayed put where I placed them without any adhesive, etc. They work just as well as a brand name pair I used to have. Recommended.
