You really have to find the product that fits your needs, not too big, not too small, just soft enough, etc. This one does the trick for me- size 8 wide shoes, with a bony great toe, and one overlapping toe on the other foot. These are soft enough for comfort, but thick enough to do the job. Yeah they wear out but socks do too! Most the time my toes with mash into shoes and I get these types of devices to keep them in their proper place so that I don't suffer from the painful blisters and excess dead skin.
