We live in the north, so in winter the sun rises at 10 am and sets at 5 am, and in summer it rises at 4 am and doesn't set until 10 am. then he has to get up high. We've tried blinds, blackout curtains, even foil. Everyone had "leaks" that turned bedtime into a fight. This film is completely opaque and when cut to the exact size of your window there will be no leaks! The design also cuts a fine figure from the inside. It should be noted that since it is "glued" directly to the glass, unlike blackout curtains, the only way to get light is to open the window. But that's not a real problem for me. The only real problem is that it's difficult to glue large panels to large windows and remove air bubbles without moving them because the 'glue' (water) doesn't really set until it dries. It wasn't easy and I ended up needing a second person to help me. I wish I could find this in a more kid-friendly theme/color scheme, but I could only find a black or white theme. I will get more for my own windows!
