500kg scale is not suitable for 500kg
The scale seems fairly accurate up to at least 200 pounds. I've used it to measure the tongue weight on my trailer and it reads fine up to 700 pounds, after which it shuts off and says it's overloaded. So if you're buying a scale that weighs up to 700 pounds instead of its rated capacity, the scale is perfect and reasonably priced. Otherwise look elsewhere.
