My son has been asking me how to play chess for weeks and this is the perfect learning board! It is small and compact, so we can take it with us when we visit family or travel. It also gives us something to do while waiting for the meeting. This chess set fits in his small backpack, and the magnetized board and pieces come in very handy. He can hold the board on his lap without worrying about the pieces sliding onto the floor. It also allows us to pause our game, move to another location and pick up where we left off. The quality is good, overall I am very satisfied!
