I'm very impressed with this interface for a number of reasons. I use an iPhone and there are fewer choices for these devices than for Android. It can also use Wi-Fi OR Bluetooth 4.0 to connect to your device. What struck me the most was the amount of information this device can collect from the cars' computers. I have a 2008 Prius and also a 2000 Nissan truck. I downloaded 2 free apps and paid for one, all from the APP store. I also bought a 2008 Toyota Enhanced for $9.99 through an app called OBD Fusion. This is the closest thing to the "Torque" app (not available for IOS) that I was able to find after reading reviews of all the options available for IOS. I also have a Mister Prius as well as a car scanner. All 3 applications were able to connect to Veepeak without any problems - it only took a few seconds. Each application has its own unique features and most of the time I use OBD Fusion. This app gives me Prius specific data on the hybrid system and the traction battery and most importantly the amount of information available is overwhelming. 12 years with the car. I've also used Veepeak on some of my friends' cars and it works perfectly. You need to enter vehicle information into the app once and the vehicle will be saved for future use. In addition, the device works in tandem with your phone and can associate specific PIDs with your itinerary and display them on a map. Veepeak SHOULD NOT be used for bi-directional commands like bleed the brakes (don't think any of those buttons can do that). All fault codes can be cleared and can also communicate with Transmission, SRS, Hybrid and ABS ECUs and some others depending on whether you have added advanced diagnostics to the application. There are no monthly fees for Veepeak or the OBD Fusion app - just a one-time <$10 payment for the OBD Fusion app and it's worth every penny. The car scanner also works well with Veepeak and Dr. prius I extended the 1 year warranty by 6 months by registering the device on their website. BEFORE USING YOU MUST READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY! Connecting to Veepeak via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi requires different procedures for different phones, and you must use the method specific to your phone. Example: Bluetooth connection for iPhones is done through the application and not through the "Settings" menu.
