I used 4 (2 in front and one on each side) tool boxes that were large (about 20 inches or 50 cm on the side) and heavy (30 lbs or 14 kg). The upper part of the housing is "plugged" into the tongues of the lower part. The locks work very well. They have a spring on the working end which I'd rather not have, but that's no big deal. . The spring makes installation a bit more difficult, but I suppose it helps keep the clasp secure (snapped in place if you don't line it up well or it's tired or bent). Hook piece or case to "snap into" and secure. It does NOT come with screws. I used #8's which are very tight (4 per clasp). They were easy enough to install. You are just as strong. how they look and are well made. I think they will hold up well to the appropriate uses. They are very inexpensive. I will order them again when I need them.
