Coat of excellent quality and excellent water transport. But more than it should be. I recommend buying one size smaller. Because the coat was so big, my child only wears an undershirt that is just the right size. For now it will work and when he is older we can put the coats together as they should be or just put on a large soft shell. The overall construction is great, the padded outer jacket is thick and durable and reminds me of my North Face jacket. The jacket wicks water well and is quite warm when the two layers are stacked on top of each other. If you need a good winter jacket, just order one size down if you want to use it now.
