This kitchen rug is not as thick as others I have and I almost returned it but now that I've got used to it I really like it and I'm thinking about to buy a second one. It's not as comfortable as a rug meant to be worn on your feet for long hours, but the fact that it's longer (and slightly thinner) than normal makes it comfortable to place in front of the stove AND in the prep area, ie only I need one carpet, instead of two. The solid color makes it more visible if there are crumbs, but I think it's a way to make sure I vacuum it up if there's something on it.
