This kit is used to transmit infrared commands from remote controls to devices in closets. Now I have a clean install and most of the components for my home theater are hidden in the cabinet. There were plenty of ports for all my devices. I have two small complaints: 1) The adhesive that is supposed to attach the emitter to the device is lousy and falls off immediately. However, this can easily be remedied with a small strip of tape! 2) The cable for the receiver (a small device that stays outside the case to receive remote control commands) is too short. I had to order an extension cord separately. For the money this set did a great job.
