Review on πŸ–₯️ Acer XG270HU 27" FREESYNC Widescreen Monitor with Tilt Adjustment and 2560X1440P Resolution - XG270HU Omidpx by Jeff Allen

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Still 50% failed but the one I have is just great.

I bought two of these monitors to have a suitable dual monitor setup. Out of the box, these monitors looked great. Neither monitor had dead pixels, colors were great, and the bezels are fairly thin so they look good side-by-side without much dead space in between. I bought them, one of them started to fester profusely. Since I still had a year of warranty left, I sent it in for inspection. Both monitors ran the same desktop simultaneously for the same amount of time, but only one of them started phantom work. After sending the failed monitor back for inspection/repair, I had to wait a few weeks for the process overall with only one monitor. Once they received the monitor and hooked it up, their troubleshooting was plugging it in and not seeing any ghosting, then sending it back. I don't entirely blame them because when I got it back the halos were gone for a week or two but then it started again. I even sent photos before sending them the monitor so they can see the ghosting on the monitor. Basically I'm out of warranty right now and one of these monitors is still duplicate. I had to switch them so I could play on the non-Phantom one and then put other stuff on a different monitor so it wouldn't bother me as much. I know it's pretty anecdotal, but 50% fail. Rate these monitors for me so I can't recommend them to anyone. The non-ghosting one has a great picture, better than any previous monitor and the 144MHz refresh looks smoother than any monitor I've had before.
