The auto open feature doesn't always work when you need it, so sometimes you have to touch the release button to open it. Sometimes it won't charge wirelessly when the phone is docked, and other times when there's no phone connected to it, it keeps opening and closing on its own without even being close to the sensor. That being said, it's still cool and could be a great device in the future if the quality improves. I suggest also permanently plugging it in so that all wires are neat and out of the way, and including a power button in place of a useless USB port, which only spoils the looks. I think the purpose of such a device is to look cool, futuristic and minimalistic in the car, and the cable sticking out of the floor, which has no chord control in 2018, spoils its look. I have mine links from the rearview mirror (right hand drive car) to the top of the windshield. So I had to use little zip ties to secure the wire to the retractable mount, but I can't do anything about the stupid USB connection that powers the device that looks so stupid and silly in the bottom right corner. Such a device does not require a USB/detachable cable, and if so, it should be tucked away on the back of the device and somehow fit through the bracket to keep the device looking good and showing no damage. The chord problems he's currently having look terrible. Please don't hesitate to contact me for further honest feedback as I also offer solutions.
