Review on πŸ”” The Acme 210.5 Black Whistle: A Versatile Signal Device for Safety and Training by Jennifer Salazar

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Teach your dog to come with this whistle. every time.

Train your dog properly with this whistle and you don't have to worry about your dog answering your call. This whistle is small and plays the perfect tone that isn't affected by your mood, attitude, or frustration with your dog. This whistle will help you command the dog and make him come at the first call. Yes, it really works! Here's how I trained my dog with this 211.5 whistle: Start with a HUGE portion of lunch meat in hand. Let your dog play in your fenced yard and distract himself so he doesn't look at you. Now figure out what template tone to use and use it for the "Come" command every time. (I use two short beeps) Every time you whistle and they come, they get a HUGE helping of that cherished meat treat for lunch. (NO CHAIR, NO DOG TREAT) This should be a very valuable treat. Chicken, Beef, Port, whatever you DESIRE most. Reward them with this treat every time they come. (therefore a little preparation is required to learn). Within two days (5-6 initial calls and rewards) I was able to call my dog back from 100 yards, even with other dogs and distractions. I then gradually began reducing the size and cost of the treats. Now she comes with a whistle expecting just a little love. but every once in a while I surprise her with a HUGE pile of meat in my hand. I make them wonder if "THIS" time is time with another valuable treat like chicken or beetroot. This isn't the only learning method that can be used for this, but it worked for me. I always carry two of these pipes with me. one on a cord, one on a keychain. That's all you need to start managing your dog. I highly recommend it.
