The magnet on this stop is NOT strong enough to hold the door open. I bought this for a screen door so basically it doesn't open too far and it works well as a real doorstop. However, a joke with a magnet - it does not hold the door. Even after adjusting to make sure it's fully engaged, the best it can do is hold the door open when you slowly push it all the way in. If the door swings all the way open, it will bounce and not stay open. It is so weak that even a light breeze closes the door. Bottom line, this is a cheap Chinese product from Revain - you get what you pay for.
