Review on 🧡 Easy-to-Use TmppDeco Embroidery Kit for Adults - 3 Pack Starter Kits with Patterns, Instructions, Hoop, Scissors, Needles, and Threads by Carla Anderson

Suitable for beginners

I'm new to embroidery. I have some experience with hand sewing and machine hemming, but I'm by no means an expert on such tricky things. However, it is quite fun to use. There are 4 designs in the kit but only 1 hoop. So if I want to show my distress I need to get more or frame it I guess. There are 2 needles included for each design which is great - I have needles at home but I don't use those thick needles. The included embroidery floss is what you would typically find at a craft store, unsurprisingly, but I think it's perfect for beginners. The thread is pre-portioned and divided by design. The material is quite poor and perfect for making mistakes - it heals quickly. The pre-printed designs are pleasing despite being water soluble and I have noticed that the colors bleed onto the filament. My white flowers are now red. As annoying as it is, the pattern dissolves, making it harder to tell if you've skipped a stitch. Thread cutters are very useful as this thread breaks easily. The scissors are bad, they don't cut the threads and they don't cut the excess threads out of the fabric. I have the thread scissors I used but just a warning you will need another pair. Basically the instructions are what I took off a star for because they are confusing for a beginner. For example they tell you what stitch and where to use in designs but I have no idea what satin stitch is vs rose stitch. I didn't realize you weren't supposed to tie the threads, you obviously just leave them loose at the back. Thankfully there are tutorials on YouTube and the web in general, it's just a hassle to turn on the computer when I want to chill before bed. Overall I think it's ok for a newbie who knows how to use the internet. It contains all the materials you need if you want to continue embroidering.
