Absolutely awesome, but use the right app so you don't waste your feed!

Okay, I bought this as part of a general home organization and it's absolutely gorgeous: much better than the keyboards I've used before and well worth the money once you figure out how to disable its main function. Wrong function: useless tape! GREAT FEATURES: Has an internal rechargeable battery and can be easily controlled from your phone, allowing you to roam your home/office with it and label anything in sight with minimal effort (you really need to get used to the phone's rather clunky interface, but it's not that hard like that once you get used to it, and already way better than IMO keyboard devices). I've used it exclusively through the Brother phone software (Android): and I've tried two: * PT - design and print: easy to use but annoying as it keeps wasting 1 inch of tape on each label. The feature for me is so f. The thing is they set up the printer to automatically cut it in the machine and when you print individual labels it takes about 2.5cm of ribbon for each label printed. That would be crazy even if you were rich! However, if you use iPrint, it has a feature that can be used to disable this horrible feature. When you go to label printing, notice that you get a 'Print Options' screen (unlike PT Theme), one of which is 'Auto Crop, Chain Print'. Using this setting will print the label instead of feeding and cutting it until you print the next label. As long as you keep this print setting, the new label will continue to print and the old one will be cut off and one will be hidden. , and so you can tag as many different items as you like without unnecessary tape if you want two running all the time. When you get to the last one you can remove the chain print and just waste the ribbon (btw: I find if you print multiple of the same labels you never waste except at the end, but I always make different labels so it never doesn't help ).
