Well made and good looking bagel cutter. If used correctly will prevent you cutting your fingers off. First, make sure you oil the cutter and after each use clean with a paper towel. Every once and a while oil it again. It has a wide base which will keep the bagel steady. Put the bagel in the cutter and apply the knife, pressing down firmly enough to keep the bagel from rotating as you cut. It the bagel starts rotating, try different pressure on the knife. one pressure, applied to a particular bagel will cut the bagel and prevent it from rotating. Cut only until you bottom out on the wood at the bottom. rotate the bagel 180 degrees and then repeat the cut. you will only have a small slice to complete the cut so the bagel cuts in two pieces.Pros:It works great on all bagels with a little practice. You'll save your fingers and other body parts. Looks good enough to have out in the kitchen as a decoration. Easy to clean, and maintain. Fast.Cons:None.
