We typically buy our bread unsliced, so a good breadboard is important to us. I like the idea of the removable top so you can dump crumbs, but it's sort of an overengineered solution to a minor problem. We store this standing on its side in a cabinet with other cutting boards and cookie sheets, and it is a bit of a pain to reach for it and have it separate into two pieces when you are trying to get it out. The wood is not the best I have encountered. Still, not bad for the price, and it is easy

I am not exactly sure what a saddle tray is but I am going to use this delightful tray to place my mail in until I get around to opening it. It will be absolutely perfect for the job.I am very happy with my purchase. The tray works great for holding mail until I get around to opening it and it is very pleasing to the eye.

I am thrilled to have found this tray. It is PERFECT to use when snuggled in bed - holds my TV remotes and my kindle so nothing gets lost in the bed covers. I've also used it for food tray in bed - just love it!

I got this on an open box deal because I felt silly buying it and really didn't want to pay the asking price for what I knew was a single function tool, probably more for novelty and looks. However, after receiving it, it is so beautiful it would have been worth full price. It's a heavy, high quality piece of tableware.

After breaking countless challah boards we decided to try something new, a new style with no glass on it. This is a great alternative and a great crumb catcher - much less mess on the Shabbos table. It’s not super heavy weight but it’s good and we are happy with our purchase

I saw this in a European magazine, and thought it was kind of a neat little gadget. Was I wrong! It is now one of the most useful tools in my kitchen. It is so easy to put a loaf of bread in, have neat slices and 95% of the crumbs contain, and it is turned from being a gadget to a most necessary tool! Being a personal chef it is hard to find tools that not only look good but provide a great service.

I got this with the bagel safety knife. I like that this looks good sitting out on the counter. But the bagel moves around too much in this holder, and the knife producd far too many crumbs. Perhaps nice for adults and a sharp knife, but was a poor decision for my needs (kids). Ended up getting a bagel guillotine which works great.

Great looking bread board. My only complaint is that it's impossible to remove the label without using chemicals like Goo Gone. Why should it be so difficult?Note to seller -- please consider that most buyers (like me) probably would like to take the labels off the tools that they use in the kitchen, like this product.

I leave this on my island for decor whether I’m using it for bread that day or not, and everybody asks me what it is! It’s not cheaply made, and makes slicing bread much easier and helps with slicing pieces evenly. It’s not wide enough for French bread, but perfect for baguettes. It looks very nice and classy. Happy with my purchase and would recommend to others!

have to hold it and put hand in harms way because the thing is so small a bagel doesn't really fit in very far. Pointless, buy a better one that actually holds the bagel while you slice.

Bagel holder stably holds bottom of bagel, but does not protect me from the knife, or really help stabilize the top of the bagel when I try to slice it. Perhaps I’m doing something wrong?But it sure does look good on my counter.

The cutting board is aesthetically appealing but way too small and the nesting doesn’t fit snugly. I think crumbs would make it off the board even if cutting a small roll. The nesting board rocks back and forth when cutting which feels unstable.

In Norway last year, I didn't see any Norwegian Saddle trays. Oh, and it's a soft wood from any where but Norway. That said, I used it as a Norwegian Easter basket for my wife and she loves it. On occasion, I deliver a croissant and coffee in bed in the morning- and it is the perfect size!

Long and slender, exactly right for baguettes and other long artisan loaves. Bread can be sliced and served easily, and the crumbs fall into the slots on the board so there is no mess.After repeated use, there are some scratches from the bread knife across the width of the board, but that does not distract from its usefulness.

Love this! It's beautiful, practical and works like a charm. If you like to serve french bread, especially for company, it will be a big hit. Everyone can cut their own slice and adjust how small or big they want it, or you can have all the bread cut uniformly before serving. My friend has one in a light wood, but the new darker wood is much richer. I would recommend it highly!

It is nicely crafted, but has flaw. The upper part is not stable, it wobbles and doesn't properly slot into the bottom half.

This was my second purchase of this item. The first arrived with the top piece you cut on broken. I super-glued it and used it for several months until I dropped it while rinsing off. I liked it so much that I bought another to replace it. The bottom of the new one was warped so badly that the top grate did not fit without wobbling all over the place. I took the top of this one to replace the top of the first one and I now have a set that works great. Only took me combining two sets to get one…

After trying several other bagel slicers, I tried this one. It works very well. I think it's important to use a sharp bread knife. this holder works well.5 stars!

Awesome addition to my kitchen. Can finally cut a baguette into equal size pieces without smashing the loaf or burning my hands.
