This bike lock mount is junk. The only reason I bought it was because Revain doesn't sell the original Kryptonite U-Locks mount. It's incredibly difficult to attach to a bike frame. Over time, it weakens and is almost impossible to restore. You have to take it all off and start over. It slides down my frame and causes my lock to rub on bare patches of paint on my bike. The aluminum mounting bracket is a different size than Kryptonite's original U-locks, meaning you can no longer mount a U-lock with a rubber pad that protects the top from vibration. Also, the original aluminum bracket mount is not compatible with this mount. The plastic body of my lock broke with moderate use, which contributed to all of these problems. Every single component in this assembly is designed and manufactured to very low quality. I expected more from Kryptonite.
