Perfect for my needs!

This made my life easier because I no longer have to carry the lock in my backpack when cycling. Installation was a little tricky but mostly had to do with finding a spot on my frame where the lock wouldn't bump into my legs when I pedaled (I have a large lock and it wouldn't fit in the frame). so I ended up putting it on the seat tube). I also have a custom lock - I bought this many years ago and it is a different diameter than the attachments that came with the mount. But I was able to use…

Works but the hardware included is not up to spec

I have two of these mounts and although they hold the lock securely the design is lacking and the hardware is terrible. First of all they offer the *only* way to attach this to your bike with a belt which looks horrible, damages the paintwork and doesn't hold up well. For most bikes, mounting to a bottle bolt is the safest, prettiest, and most logical way to go, as shown in my attached picture. is necessary. The mount is much higher than it should be, requiring a very long bolt to get the job…

Broken bracket - company doesn't respond

Bought this bracket to use with a heavier "yellow" NY City U-lock on my city commuter car with a vertical "U" on the seat tube. I drive in Philadelphia and there are a lot of potholes and after a few months of driving the strut loosened, I tightened it, loosened it, I tightened it again, then it broke. I installed three more Kritonites with these clips, two "grey" locks and one "orange". These are lighter locks than the yellow ones and they mount in a horizontal or slanted position on the…

Doesn't do anything a bike lock mount is supposed to do.

This bike lock mount is junk. The only reason I bought it was because Revain doesn't sell the original Kryptonite U-Locks mount. It's incredibly difficult to attach to a bike frame. Over time, it weakens and is almost impossible to restore. You have to take it all off and start over. It slides down my frame and causes my lock to rub on bare patches of paint on my bike. The aluminum mounting bracket is a different size than Kryptonite's original U-locks, meaning you can no longer mount a U-lock…

Difficult to install and not a perfect fit

Purchased to replace the original mounting bracket that came with my Kryptonite Evolution 7" U-lock which already had a U-lock ring that fitted this collar if also almost imperceptibly identical, not identical because it's a bit thicker. Easy enough to remove the original, but the included collars weren't the right size either from a hotel room, not from your garage - use chain lube as cutting oil and wrap a rag around the new yoke, carefully secure the new yoke with the U-lock drill out…

Perfect for sport

This is a really great mount, it can be fitted to a regular bike with a round tube or a square or rectangular tube like some bikes. newer bikes. I bought 2 of these and installed one on my bike and one on my wife's bike so the lock can change from bike to bike. There are some reviews saying this is bad hardware because it fits properly or some other reason and I can tell you this mount is very safe and easy to mount on your bike but there is a correct and a wrong way. Make sure the tape is…

Good mount for Kryptonite U-Lock

I bought this mount because the original didn't fit today's larger frame tubes. This mount is very versatile thanks to its versatile mounting system that allows it to be mounted in multiple locations on the frame. The seat post, top tube, and down tube are all reasonable places to consider depending on your riding position and bike frame compatibility. I chose the seat stem just below the top tube. The mount itself mounts easily with a padded strap/buckle and a 4mm hex nut that secures the…

Inconsistent production - fix problems.

I haven't reviewed Amazon in years, although I buy a lot here. I bought this lock on the advice of a friend and he helped me install it. All in all, this review is based on 2 months of experience with this thing and the frustrations that came with it. First, the shackle for mine (16mm?) didn't immediately fit the end of the U-bolt. In terms of geometry, the strut was anything but round and had to be filed. I had to physically grind it + the U-bolt down for a few minutes and then use some lube…
