This tool works as advertised. I was able to replace the valve seals without removing the cams, but I think the job would be a lot easier if I removed the cams. This tool is self-interfering. Resetting the retainers into the valve is almost impossible, depending on what valve you are working with. And if you plan to do the work yourself, forget it. You'll need one person to hold the pressure while another compresses the spring, and hopefully you don't destroy the new valve seal in the process. Another complaint I have about this tool is that it slides off the spring and cam too easily. If you put your fingers in the path of the compressed spring, use extreme caution. This whole tool did the job I needed, but the tool can certainly be improved. My honest suggestion to anyone considering buying one is to remove your valve springs should go a long way and remove your cams. This will likely save you time and frustration in the end.
