The programmable function does not work and the bottom gets wet. :(

I had great expectations of this gentleman, since he is priced in the middle range for reptile gentlemen. My apartment is very dry and I only wanted to use it for my coat of arms.. what has exo terra is 18 x 18 x 24" tall. I followed all the instructions that came with it and set it up, but couldn't even get the device to start. I've tried different settings for a week, but it never stuck. When using the 'on' function, mr completely flooded down even the 2 minute duration was too long very disappointed need a better solution.
