Review on ๐Ÿ”ช Protective Knife Guard for Chef Knives - Mercer Culinary, 8 Inch x 2 Inch by Randy Montiel

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Mercer > Cangshan/Dexter/Mundial/Everpride

They are very different and much better than Cangshan/Dexter/Mundial/Everpride Knife Guard. The latter keeps your knives weak and slips off easily. Having the guards of Cangshan, Dexter, Mundial, and Everpride before there is nothing else between them. All of them are common. Yes, Mercer Guards are a bit more expensive, but it's worth the extra cost. As far as the felt liner goes, your knives don't care much for it, and the Mercer guard feels very similar to inserting a knife into the guard. Highly recommended. For those with misen knives, a chef's knife, serrated (bread) knife, and paring knife work well with these attachments.
