Paint is peeling off

Terrible. I'm not sure if it's real bamboo at all. It has a kind of varnish layer that gets scratched at the first stroke of the knife. I don't know if it's food varnish or not, but I didn't like putting food on a varnished surface. It also feels sticky when washed with hot water, like the polish is softening. Wouldn't recommend it.
