Best Camera Lens Product Returns

Received my Tamron 20mm on May 6th, 2020. I have a Tamron 28-75mm and am very happy with it. The lens is sharp, small and light. I bought it to photograph New York architecture. Sometimes the lens would focus and sometimes it would miss. I photographed the Manhattan Bridge from the top of Brooklyn and on several occasions the camera displayed two focus boxes indicating the bridge was in focus, but it wasn't. I kept pressing the shutter button and it again displayed the focus point on an imaginary subject. I showed it to my friend and he said it must be a bad copy. I turned off the camera and sometimes it would focus correctly. I heard other members of the Facebook group say they also had trouble concentrating. Again I have 28-75 and I have no problems. I haven't tried manual focus yet. Others have stated that manual focus is very slow. I will return it and buy again. Exchange. I want the same lens I attached to the 2 photos I took for a test to see how wide the subject would be. I shoot in RAW, so in Lightroom I choose a lens profile that removes all distortion. You can see the photos I take with the 28-75mm lens on my musicman33us Instagram. Has anyone had this problem with 20mm?
