Review on 🏒 Franklin Sports Youth Hockey Goalie Masks - Ideal Street and Indoor Hockey Goalie Mask for Kids - GFM1500 by Drew Diaz

Revainrating 1 out of 5

I went through three and each was worse when opened.

As with any goalie mask, the back panel attaches to the rest of the mask with fabric ties that snap to the main mask. This allows you to put it on and adjust the size. (Not unlike any other goalie mask.) That being said, the first mask I received had a clasp that either came loose from the rivet or wasn't riveted at all. I wasn't happy considering it was a birthday present but Revane was good at sending another one even though I didn't get a chance to wrap it. So the second came and had a different clasp with the same problem on a different buckle. Then he just swam. Now that the birthday boy has seen it, he likes the way it looks, so I promised him one more thing. Revain will not return the same item a second time and I didn't want to return the first two masks in case they just sent me another one so I bought a third. (Now I had three.) Came this one. two buckles are missing. Needless to say I have already returned two masks, am returning a third today, and I purchased another brand (with a long history of exclusively manufacturing hockey products) from a website dedicated to hockey. The Revain was great and the packaging seemed good so they must have come broken from the factory. It's a great looking mask but you decide if it arrives broken and if not how long it lasts before those latches break. I don't leave negative reviews but all three masks I received were rubbish. I discard products when they go 0/3. BTW there is a self-adhesive foam pad that blocks access from the inside of the mask (usually a good thing). So if you have a riveting machine to do your own repairs that you don't need, you still can't do it. Much luck.
