Stays securely on my 2015 Sienna Vent. I have used this phone holder in two different cars for several months and it is VERY useful. It stays in place and can be easily removed from the car vent. I mainly use it to help me navigate to my destinations. This allows me to see my phone's maps and directions at a glance, so I can keep my eyes on the road. The base of the mount extends to allow the charging cable to be connected to the phone. The speaker out jack on the phone is free so I can connect the phone audio to my old 2000 Sienna's car stereo. I have not used the suction cup but I bought it for my daughter's car and she is very happy with it. suction cup on the windshield.
