Review on 💦 WAYNE PC4.5 1/2 HP Cast Iron Multi-Purpose Pump With Suction Strainer, Model 55832 by Michael Hall

We need a water pump to draw water from our lake for the lawn. First, I was seduced by one of the cheapest "Made in China" pumps on Revain. It looked great but there were about 15 plastic fittings in the kit that didn't have a diagram and I'm obviously not smart enough to figure out how to fit all the plastic parts to the inlet and outlet of this pump. We wasted 3-4 hours. frustrated, couldn't get it to work, then sent it back to Revain. I bought this Wayne PC4 as a replacement - it's a BIG, POWERFUL LITTLE PUMP. garden hose) to the inlet, attach a strainer (supplied) to the end and insert into the lake. Connect a longer garden hose (I used 50ft but 100ft will do) to the outlet, prime the pump, plug it in and wait 15 seconds for it to start drawing water. The water pressure was amazing - comparable to what I get from tap water which is 60psi. Cons: * It's cast iron so it's heavy. Screw cap or similar.* No on/off switch. Plug in to start, pull out to stop. A little annoying, but no big deal. Overall I LOVE THIS PUMP and would buy it again 100 times - it's easy to set up, easy to use and produces great water pressure. That's exactly what I wanted.
