It took me 1 1/2 hours to fill and empty the plant rain barrel with the water canister, but 10 minutes with this little gem. The water flow was just right, even at the top of a 20ft hill. I bought this pump to clean my 125 gallon tank. Turtles make a BIG mess and this pump does a good job of clearing out the "garbage". I use a strainer to make sure the rollers don't get sucked into the pump, but it sucks everything else out in no time. This is MUCH faster than the aquarium pumps you sell at pet stores.
