I recently started learning freehand calligraphy and heard about rotating rulers. The popular version cost three times as much money, so I decided to try that one first. So glad I did! Meets all my needs! Some people mentioned that it moved slightly, but I didn't notice this issue. I mean it rolls, but no more than how you should press on a regular imo ruler. It's especially useful for drawing diagonal lines for practice and sketching. The only thing I don't like is the length, but that might just be my preference, so I'm not deducting a star for that. It's 12 inches, which sounds like what you're looking for since most paper is 8.5 x 11, but for a lot of things you use a rotating ruler for, 12 inches can often get in the way. The popular version is 10" and I definitely see that as an advantage. For example, I often practice with a clipboard on the couch or in bed and have to readjust when drawing diagonal lines because the ruler gets caught in the clip at the top. If it If it gets too annoying I can try snapping off the tips but we'll see In any case it's worth only spending $7.
